CUWCC Water Conservation Project Manager

The California Urban Water Conservation Council is hiring a Water Conservation Project Manager to work with Council water agencies on implementing Water Efficiency Best Management Practice programs and research.

Position Duties:

  • Respond to requests for technical data and information
  • Conduct specific research projects as assigned
  • Assist in creating technical content for the Council’s web site
  • Coordinate Water Conservation workshops and training
  • Assist Council members in performing benefit-cost analyses
  • Maintain an information base of answers to frequently-asked questions
  • Staff Council committees as assigned
  • Give oral presentations and papers as assigned
  • Research conservation savings estimates and data sources
  • Assist in identifying needed acquisitions for the Council’s lending library
  • Provide support in the development of grant proposals
  • Manage other projects as assigned

Applicant Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Sciences or similar field; Master’s Degree is preferred
  • High level of expertise in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with benefit-cost analysis
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work occasional overtime
  • Ability to travel within California
  • Personable and articulate

Salary Range: $4,500 - ?? Monthly, depending upon experience

Water Conservation Manager

Suburban Water Systems has an open Water Conservation Manager position.  This position is responsible for development and the successful implementation of the company’s strategic Water Conservation Plan including the following programs: conservation, water audit, water loss, leak detection and related functions. Responsibilities include working closely with Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Service Area Managers, the California Water Association (CWA), the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the California Urban Water Conservation Council (CUWCC) in developing, justifying, defending and implementing water conservation programs. Additional responsibilities include managing direct and indirect staff to implement, monitor and report on programs to all levels of the company and external stakeholders. The Water Conservation Manager serves in a lead capacity managing the company’s efforts to implement the CPUC’s Water Action Plan and CUWCC’s Best Management Practices. Additionally the position is responsible for aggressively applying for and maximizing the use of alternative/supplemental funding sources such as grants, rebates, partnerships, etc. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline preferred, or minimum three years as a Superintendent in the water industry. CA-NV AWWA Section Water Conservation Practitioner Certification Grade 1 required. Senior Water Conservation Program Manager

Lucrative and exciting opportunity to be part of major water conservation projects in the Middle East. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, our Middle Eastern program headquarters is entering into large scale contracts with government ministries in the entire Middle Eastern region.

Niagara Conservation is looking for a seasoned individual with comprehensive water conservation program management experience to lead our program management team. This individual will be based in Riyadh and will work directly with senior governmental contacts to design and implement their water conservation programs.

Substantial compensation package to include housing, expenses, and travel costs. Large scale earning potential for the appropriate candidate.

Minimum Job requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience as senior water conservation program manager with a water utility company
  • Extensive knowledge of residential program management. Commercial and Irrigation experience a plus.
  • Experience with program marketing and PR aspects of running an effective conservation program
  • Experience with residential high efficiency plumbing products
