Best Management Practices

When signing the Council's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), water suppliers agree to implement in their water conservation programs the Best Management Practices below. As signatories, these agencies also agree to report on their BMP activities bi-annually via the BMP Reporting Website.

As of September 16, 2009

FOUNDATIONAL BMPs:

   1. Utility Operations Programs 
  2. Education Programs

PROGRAMMATIC BMPs:
Signatories have the option of implementing each BMP as described below, or implementing measures identified in the Flex Track Menu alternative included in each Programmatic BMP.

   3. Residential
 4. Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional
 5. Landscape
